Three inverters with message

This extended logic group enables the retrieval of measured values via HTTP request from a Fronius Symo 3-M inverter. The queried measured values are then sent to the KNX bus. In addition, a message is sent via Push Bullet if the expected nominal power of the inverter is too low.

Mode of operation: The HTTP request queries of the three inverters trigger the "cyclic transmitter" every 30 seconds. Each response to the HTTP request is evaluated via a separate text processor. The "Inverter Realtime Data" is requested from the Fronius inverter and the following values are read out by the text processor:

  • DAY_ENERGY (Wh)
  • PAC (W)
  • YEAR_ENERGY (Wh) and
  • TOTAL_ENERGY (Wh)

In the further course, the read value for PAC (current power consumption - AC nominal power) is sent to the KNX bus via the "Inverter X PAC" output.

The logic group also determines the sum of the values "DAY_ENERGY (in Wh)" and "TOTAL_ENERGY (in Wh)" of all existing inverters and sends them to the KNX bus via the output "Daily energy and total energy". Likewise, the sum of the nominal power of all existing inverters is sent via the "Daily energy total PV inverter" output.

In addition, a message is issued via "Push Notification" (via Push Bullet) if the nominal power of the inverter falls below a "lower threshold". However, this message is only sent if the value for global radiation (e.g. from a weather station) exceeds a predefined threshold. In this way, a message is only sent if the nominal power is below the expected nominal power.

Necessary adjustments: In order for the logic group to be used, the IP address (replace ) of the inverter and the app token (replace ) must be entered in the HTTP request elements "Request Inverter X" and "Message Inverter X" respectively.

The API interface of the inverter is described in detail in the PDF "Fronius Solar API V1".
